Thomas Freeman, Don Martin, Blake Lowry,
Theresa Martin
Concrete Construction Accessories LLC (CCA) has opened at
15207 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge and will offer various
concrete construction materials to the highway/heavy, industrial
and commercial markets.
Heading the new company are Thomas (Tom) Freeman, managing
partner; Dan Martin, general manager; Blake Lowry, sales;
and Theresa Martin, accounting manager.
Freeman has more than 34 years experience in the concrete
accessories business, including several years with a Baton
Rouge company. He is a graduate of Spencer Business College
and took various courses at Louisiana State University.
Dan Martin, who will be in charge of sales and general business,
has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry
including selling lubricants to heavy equipment owners. He
is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a
bachelor's degree in chemistry.
Lowry has more than four years in the construction industry
and will be involved in several areas, including sales and
supervisory.
Theresa Martin will be responsible for accounts receivable
and accounts payable and has numerous years of experience
in the construction market. She is a certified paralegal and
commissioned notary public for East Baton Rouge Parish.
Concrete Construction Accessories will offer products and
services throughout South Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, including
emergency service on weekends, according to Freeman. Products
will include concrete construction materials, joint materials,
curing and sealing materials, traffic control products, concrete
load transfer devices and geotextiles.
CCA is a subsidiary of DNT Properties, Baton Rouge, consisting
of Jim Lowry, Marty Duncan, Donald Dawson and Tom Freeman.
Michael Schofield
Associated General Contractors (AGC) - Shreveport Chapter
announced the hiring of Michael Schofield as its new executive
director, according to Mike Walker, Shreveport Chapter AGC
president.
Schofield, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Shreveport
since 1978, has had extensive experience in the not-for-profit,
professional services and manufacturing sectors.
He is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston and
has a bachelor's degree in business management and an MBA.
He is also a graduate of Leadership Shreveport.
Schofield replaced Mike Gibson, who took over as executive
director of the Associated Contractors of New Mexico in October.
AGC - Shreveport represents general contractors and associate
members in the northwest Louisiana, northeast Texas and southwest
Arkansas areas.
Bradley W. Barber
Baton Rouge-based H&E Equipment Services recently promoted
Bradley W. Barber, previously vice president of rental operations,
to a new executive position within the company, executive
vice president and general manager.
This new position greatly expands Barber's responsibilities.
He will now oversee all sales, rentals and marketing operations.
All division vice presidents, sales and marketing vice presidents
and product line vice presidents will report directly to Barber.
Most of Barber's experience in the equipment industry has
come from his years of employment with H&E Equipment Services.
