Troy L. Bunch
The American Society of Landscape Architects recently inducted
Troy L. Bunch of Baton Rouge into its Council of Fellows.
The Council of Fellows is comprised of more than 600 landscape
architects recognized by their peers for outstanding accomplishments
in works of landscape architecture, administrative leadership,
knowledge and service to the profession.
Fellows may use the designation FASLA following their name
to signify membership in the ASLA Council of Fellows.
Founded in 1899, ASLA is the national professional association
for landscape architects representing more than 14,800 members.
William E. Simon
The International ASME Mechanical Engineering Department
Heads executive committee recently appointed William E. Simon
as chairman. Simon is a professor and head of mechanical engineering
at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Simon also serves on ASME's Board of Engineering Education,
an organization working to reshape the mechanical engineering
curriculum to more effectively deal with environmental, societal
and global issues.
Rob Seils
Paint and anodize finisher Linetec named Rob Seils as a regional
manager with its outside sales team. As a former inside sales
manager with the company, Seils will now share and apply his
knowledge of Linetec's internal systems, products and services
with customers.
In his new role, Seils' sales territory will include the
western half of the U.S., in addition to Louisiana, Kentucky,
Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina and South
Carolina.
With 12 years of experience in sales and management, he has
also worked as a sales engineer with metal fabricator Northland
Stainless Inc. in Tomahawk, Wis., and with oil and gas exploration
products supplier Smith International Inc. in Houston.
A Wisconsin native, Seils lived in Texas for 20 years and
earned a bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University
in San Marcos. Returning to his home state six years ago,
he now lives in Wausau.
Linetec is one of the nation's largest paint and anodize
finishers, and the largest independent architectural finisher.
Stephen Hueser
Terex Corporation recently announced the appointment of Stephen
Hueser as general manager of their Rock Hill, S.C., and Brampton,
Ontario, operations.
Hueser will be responsible for overseeing finance, operations,
product development and customer service for Terex Light Construction.
Hueser comes to Terex Light Construction after four years
with Genie Industries, a Terex company, where he was responsible
for the design engineering of its rough terrain and slab scissor
lift product lines.
With more than 18 years in the construction equipment industry,
Hueser's vast experience includes product design and engineering
analysis, IT, operations and supply chain management.
Hueser graduated from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor's
degree in mechanical engineering and earned a master's degree
in business administration from the University of Washington.
Terex Light Construction, a division of Terex Corporation,
offers a variety of light construction equipment including
light towers, power buggies, safety signage and concrete equipment.
Bill Erwin
Essex Crane Rental Corp. has appointed Bill Erwin as vice
president of operations. Erwin will assume full responsibility
for all North American Service Centers, in addition to his
current responsibilities for all aspects of customer support.
Ron Schad, Essex Crane's CEO, commented on the appointment.
"Over the past year and a half at Essex, Bill's experience
helped us make remarkable progress in achieving our mission,"
Schad said.
Erwin joined Essex in March 2003 with more than 25 years
experience in crane-related rentals and customer service.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering arts
from Michigan State University in 1976 and went to work for
Manitowoc Engineering Co.
